Recent times have made teletherapy the go-to for counseling services. Even so, teletherapy is new for some and can bring up some questions.
We started providing services online at Root Counseling before the rest of the world switched over, and have also been certified pre-pandemic in providing virtual, telehealth services.

Truth is, research now shows that online therapy services are just as effective as in-person therapy. So not only is it convenient- it works!
In fact, online therapy can be more easily accessible to individuals who otherwise would not be able to receive services- whether it be because of distance, time, transportation, or even physical or mental health barriers.

Once you sign up for services, you will receive an email with a log-in to our client portal. From there you will be able to message, videoconference and even pay your therapist, all over a secure, HIPAA-protected, encrypted platform.
Video therapy not your thing? We also offer messaging services. For a monthly subscription fee, you can message with me, unlimited, throughout the month. We respond in 24-48 hours, depending on the length of your message. Please note: you will need to complete an initial video session before engaging in this service.
