Hi! My name's Abi, and I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Ohio and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA) in Washington. I have a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and I'm also certified as a National Certified Counselor (NCC). I'm trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and I hold a specialized certification in religious trauma.

I have experience working with people experiencing attachment issues, complex trauma (CPTSD), religious trauma, PTSD, mood disorders, and relationship issues. My particular focus is on religious trauma due to the deep and often hidden scars it can leave that show up in our daily lives. I love being able to provide a safe space for clients to explore and process their experiences, recognizing the profound impact that religious environments and beliefs can have on an individual's mental health.

Our childhood experiences play a significant role in shaping our current behaviors and emotional patterns. I'm dedicated to understanding each client's unique journey and creating a therapeutic environment where clients feel safe, understood, and empowered to show up as their authentic selves.

In my work as a therapist, I adopt an integrative approach with an emphasis on mindfulness based methods, tailoring therapy to meet the individual needs of each person, however my main approach is attachment based. This means that I work on building a trusting, validating, compassionate relationship with each client while simultaneously encouraging growth. I know that every healing journey is distinct and personal, and I love being able to help clients navigate their own paths to healing, fostering resilience and growth along the way.

Whether you're dealing with the complexities of trauma, struggling with mood disorders, or facing challenges in your relationships, I'm here to support you. I'm committed to helping you explore and heal from past wounds, learn how to be compassionate towards yourself, and build a more fulfilling and balanced life.

I'm grateful to be a part of your journey toward healing.
